These terms and conditions apply to any booking made on reservation.lecrindesquais.fr for the accommodations "L'Interlude Secret" and "Le Temps Retrouvé", located at 11 rue Rouget de l'Isle, 30300 Beaucaire, France (hereinafter "L'Écrin des Quais"). Any booking implies full acceptance of these terms. The operator's full identity appears in the legal notice.
These terms govern the short-term rental of furnished holiday accommodation and the ancillary services offered in the online shop linked to the stay.
Bookings are made online and become firm once payment is confirmed, processed securely by Stripe. Depending on the conditions displayed at the time of booking, payment covers either the full stay or a deposit, with the balance due before arrival on the indicated date. If the balance is not paid when due, L'Écrin des Quais may cancel the booking and retain the deposit.
A confirmation summarising the stay is sent by e-mail after payment.
Rates are displayed in euros, all taxes included, and depend on dates, length of stay and number of guests. The tourist tax, collected on behalf of the town of Beaucaire, is charged in addition at the applicable rate].
The applicable cancellation conditions are those displayed at the time of booking. Unless stated otherwise: free cancellation up to 7 days before arrival; after that, amounts paid are retained.
In case of no-show or early departure attributable to the guest, the full stay remains due.
Date changes are subject to availability and to the rates applicable to the new dates.
Self check-in is available from 4 pm: personal access codes are sent before arrival (fully private building, smart locks). Check-out is by 10 am at the latest. Early check-in or late check-out may be offered subject to availability, where applicable through the online shop under the conditions displayed there.
The maximum capacity of each suite (4 guests for L'Interlude Secret, 6 guests for Le Temps Retrouvé, infants included) may not be exceeded.
Failure to comply may result in immediate termination of the stay without refund, without prejudice to any damages.
Amount and terms of the security deposit : a pre-authorisation of 250€ is taken before arrival and released after departure if no damage is found.
Any damage, breakage, lost keys or need for exceptional cleaning noted after departure will be charged at the actual cost of repair or replacement.
Ancillary services (hampers, early check-in, late check-out, etc.) may be ordered online before or during the stay and are payable at the time of ordering via Stripe. If an ordered service is unavailable, it is refunded without further compensation.
Guests are responsible for the accommodation, its furniture and equipment throughout the stay. Holiday liability insurance is recommended. L'Écrin des Quais cannot be held liable for theft of or damage to guests' personal belongings, except in case of proven fault, nor for events of force majeure.
In accordance with article L221-28, 12° of the French Consumer Code, accommodation services provided for a specific date are not subject to the right of withdrawal. Only the cancellation conditions of article 4 apply.

Failing a satisfactory answer within 60 days, guests may refer the matter free of charge to the following consumer mediator: [TO COMPLETE: name, address and website of the chosen mediator]. These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute will fall under the jurisdiction of the competent courts under ordinary rules.
